Honed his marketing skills at Sampoerna, Indonesia’s largest tobacco company, eventually landing the job of Marketing Director. One of his key achievements was turning the A-Mild brand from obscurity to market leader. Named by SWA Magazine as Best in Marketing and Sales in 1995, 1996, 1997, one of “10 Most Influential People in Development of Advertising Industry” by Cakram Magazine in 2000 and one of clean top executives in the country by Warta Ekonomi and Prospek Magazines.

Always thirst of knowledge, even after his MBA Surja kept up to update his learning at HBS, Yale, Wharton, Kellogg, Dardeen, Haas, Ross, Insead among others.  In 2004, he founded the agency with a focus on building brands, applying his decades’ worth of experience in marketing and strategic instincts to benefit clients such as Bebelac, Nutrilon, HSBC, Bank Permata, XL, AXIS, BNI 46,  Pocari Sweat, and Perusahaan Gas Negara (PGN) among many others
