The Tokyo Marathon

As part of its highly functional product claim of restoring and maintaining ions for optimal performance, Pocari Sweat joined forces with two athletes to create a digital campaign chronicling their journey to the 2016 Tokyo Marathon, aided by experts in Sports Science and educating runners on the importance of nutrition, training, psychology, and of course, hydration.

Born To Sweat’s main component is a webseries chronicling the journey of Indonesian runner Agus Prayogo and former Puteri Indonesia and now running athlete Melanie Putria as they prepare for the 2016 Tokyo Marathon.  Crafted and presented with a balance of style and substance that keeps audience interest and provides useful knowledge along the way, the webseries shows the role of sports science and hydration in optimizing athletic performance, culminating with their success in improving their personal best time at the event.

Promoting online series

To promote the Born to Sweat campaign, Pocari Sweat billboards were given a cinematic treatment, featuring Melanie and Agus in designs which looked like movie posters, while still maintaining the trademark Pocari Sweat colors and the clean, stylish design iconic to the Japanese brand.
